Given the size of Teignmouth, it’s no surprise to learn the town has a restaurant to suit most palates, from seafood to Italian, Indian and pub food, it’s all there in the centre. There are cafe’s and take-aways dotted around the town so you are pretty much guaranteed to find what you are looking for.
Head down to the back beach, to the rear of the town centre which overlooks the estuary, Teignmouth docks and Shaldon for a couple of pubs with a view, while the seafront has a restaurant overlooking the pier and out to sea.
So there’s plenty of choice to suit all budgets and needs. The tourist board are backing Mitch Tonks South Devon crab campaigns, so it’s worth trying some which are locally caught, either from the fishmongers in the town or at one of the restaurants such as the Seafood House http://www.seafoodhouse.co.uk/ and the Crab Shack on the back beach.
