Goodrington at the south of Paignton is home to a popular sandy beach flanked by the red rock cliffs of South Devon. It’s very family friendly with plenty of beach facilities, a family friendly pub, park and boating lake. Its also home to Splashdown, an outdoor waterpark complete with slides.
This morning we caught the steam train passing alongside the beach on its way to Kingswear where it travellers can cross the river Dart to Dartmouth for a day trip.
Looks like we weren’t the only the only spectators as the train passed. This stretch of coastline is home to a variety of bird life.
This is the view in the other direction towards Brixham with Berry Head in the distance – A lovely stretch of coastline!
